Why SettleTokyo exists
Tokyo rental friction for foreigners is well documented — language barriers, guarantor requirements, opaque initial costs, and a long list of small but expensive surprises. We started SettleTokyo to remove those frictions one at a time, with licensed brokerage handled in-house and the website built specifically for non-Japanese renters.
Every active listing is visited in person, fees are disclosed before any viewing, and inquiries get a Chinese-speaking consultant by default. We are deliberately small and deliberately specific — we serve foreigners renting in Tokyo, full stop.
